PALGRAVE, William Gifford. Narrative of a Year's Journey Through Central and Eastern Arabia. London and Cambridge: Macmillan & Co., 1865. 2 vols., first edition, 8vo (224 x 138mm.) Frontispiece and tissue-guard to vol. 1., 2pp. and 22pp. publisher's advertisements to rear, folding map hand-coloured in outline, 4 plans. (Some page creases, browning to margins of map, small tear.) Original cloth with pictorial gilt (softening to spine ends, one or two marks to lower covers). Provenance: Robert Milnes-Crewe (bookplate to the front pastedown); The West Horsley Place Collection.
