WELLESLEY, Arthur, Duke of WELLINGTON. [Memorials of the Funeral of the Duke of Wellington N.p.: n.d. but circa 1852]. Folio (410 x 274mm.) A bound collection of memorials and ephemera relating to the funeral of the Duke of Wellington, including an invitation to the funeral to Mr. Milnes with black wax seal, a plan of St. Pauls, a.l.s., a 'Service and Anthems to be Used Upon Thursday the 18th Day of November 1852' and 'The Duke's Funeral: a Poem by Sir Francis Hastings Doyle' inscribed from the author. (Occasional spotting.) Contemporary black half-morocco, titled in gilt to the spine, g.e. (extremities slightly scuffed and rubbed). Provenance: Robert Milnes-Crewe (bookplate to the front pastedown); The West Horsley Place Collection.
