London: the Crown Agents for the Colonies, 1930-1951. 8 vols., first editions, 8vo (260 x 171mm.) Numerous chromolithographed plates and illustrations, double-page colour map to volume 1. (Toning within, some damp affected leaves to rear of volume 1.) Original cloth, t.e.g. (heavily rubbed to volume 1), dust-jackets (volumes 1-3 missing their dust-jackets, some tears and loss to the others). - And five more volumes relating to African birds (including G.R. McLachlan and R. Liversidge's 'Roberts Birds of South Africa', a signed subscribers' edition, 1957, 8vo) (13).
