Signed by Alec Guinness in blue ink to the title-page, first edition, first impression, 8vo (232 x 147mm.) (Some browning to page ends.) Original black cloth, dust-jacket (toning to jacket edges). - And thirty-two more biographies of actors (including a signed copy of Claire Tomalin's 'Mrs Jordan's Profession', 1994, 8vo). Provenance: from the library of the actors Leonard Rossiter and his wife Gillian Raine. Seven of the volumes are inscribed to Rossiter from friends as birthday or Christmas presents, including two from his wife Gillian (33).
