(Browning to margins, occasional spotting, both inner joints cracked.) Contemporary morocco-backed blue cloth with buckram onlay to upper cover, t.e.g. (rubbing to extremities, spotting to front endpaper, both inner joints cracked). Note: Admiral of the Fleet John Jellicoe commanded the Grand Fleet at the Battle of Jutland in May 1916. Admiral of the Fleet David Beatty commanded the 1st Battlecruiser Squadron at Jutland and later he succeeded Admiral Jellicoe as the Commander-in-Chief of the Grand Fleet. Provenance: G.G.
