STENZEL, Alfred. The British Navy. London: T. Fisher Unwin, 1898. First edition, 8vo (244 x 171mm.) Frontispiece of Queen Victoria, 30 plates most with tissue-guards (8 in colour), 4 folding maps. (Several loose leaves, a review of the book tipped-in to free endpaper, name inscribed on title page.) Original pictorial cloth (bumped to extremities, fading to spine ends). Provenance: David Wilson Barker (bookplate to the front pastedown). - And four more volumes relating to battleships (including Walter Wood's 'The Battleship',1912, 8vo) (5).
