A 19th century Continental carved ivory novelty needle case in the form of a woman, the underside with carved hobnail decoration, length 9cm, another 19th century carved ivory novelty needle case with male head terminal and a further example, finely carved in the form of a basket of flowers, length 7.5cm (some loss).
