An early 19th century Sheffield plate officer's wine cooler of campana urn form with detachable liner and inner rim, the outer rim with Prince of Wales feathers above opposing 'Peninsula 77' insignia, flanked by Prince of Wales feathers handles, on a shaped circular foot, by T & J Creswick, height 28cm. Note: the 77 insignia is that of the 77th (East Middlesex) Regiment of Foot (The Duke of Cambridge's Own), which joined the Peninsula War in 1811.
