BUNYAN, John. The Pilgrim's Progress… with Original Notes by Thomas Scott. London: J. Parson's, 1794-1795. The 'Elegant' edition, 8vo (218 x 134mm.) Portrait frontispiece, 2 engraved plates as titles, as issued, 7 engraved plates. (Minor soiling, some damp-staining to titles.) Mid-19th century red morocco, elaborate blind-tooling to covers and turn-ins, gilt lettering to spine, g.e. (rubbing to extremities). - And two more volumes by Bunyan (3).
