GOODMAN, J. The Penitent Pardoned: or, a Discourse of the Nature of Sin and the Efficacy of Repentance under the Parable of the Prodigal Son. London: R. Norton for Luke Meredith, 1689. Third edition, corrected and enlarged, 4to (194 x 156mm.) Frontispiece, five double-page engraved plates. (One plate torn at fold, slight marginal loss to frontispiece, occasional contemporary 'x' marks in ink, some creasing, browning.) Contemporary calf, title to spine (rubbing to extremities, slight loss to spine ends, title faded). Provenance: Richard Banner (bookplate to the front pastedown). - And four more related volumes (including vol. 1 of S. Wesley's 'The History of the Old Testament Attempted in Verse', 1716, 8vo) (5).
