WISDEN, John. Cricketer's Almanack. London: John Wisden and Co., and J. Whittaker and Sons and Sporting Handbooks. 1906-1950. 28 vols., 8vo (157 x 96mm.) Advertisements, the photographic plates to earliest volumes (1906-1913), numerous illustrations. (Toning to margins, occasional creasing.) Black cloth to volumes 1906-1908 and 1910, brown cloth for 1913, original card wrappers to 1909, 1911, 1922, 1924, and for the remaining volumes except brown cloth for 1946-1950 (front board of 1907 detached, wear to spines, creasing, some tearing to card wrappers). - And one further related volume ('An Index to Wisden Cricketers' Almanack, 1985, 8vo). Note: a run of Wisden volumes for 1906-1911, 1913, 1922, 1924, 1931-1939, 1941-1950. Provenance: Worthing Public Library (labels to pastedowns) (29).
