Tipped-in albumen-print frontispiece and 1 more albumen-print, both by Rutherfurd, 22 engraved plates only. (Lacking 3 plates and the third albumen-print, occasional spotting, rubbing to the pastedowns.) Original red cloth, blocked in blind, lettered in gilt to spine, bumped to spine ends). Provenance: David and Patricia Cory (name-plate to rear pastedown). - And a related volume (James Nasmyth and James Carpenter's 'The Moon: Considered as a Planet, a World and a Satellite', 1885, 8vo).
