A Chinese yellow ground famille rose medallion bowl, mark and period of Daoguang, the exterior with four circular medallions filled with flowers and blossoming branches, reserved against a yellow enamelled sgraffito ground with polychrome lingzhi and lotus divisions, the interior painted in underglaze blue with a central peony roundel encircled by chrysanthemums, lotus and flowering branch sprays, underglaze blue seal mark to base, diameter 14.2cm, height 6.2cm (restoration).
