A Japanese Kutani porcelain circular tray, Meiji period, the centre painted with a scene of an owl perched on a branch with lake, pavilions, trees and mountains beyond, the segmented rim painted and gilt with butterflies, flanked by a pair of gilt leaf moulded handles, iron red painted mark to base, width across handles 39cm.
