CAMBRIDGE. [A hand-written vestry book for Parish of Chesterton. Cambridge, 1838-1855.] 217pp. unnumbered, 8vo (227 x 186mm.) Densely hand-written notes, mostly dated. (Browning, some creasing.) Contemporary black morocco-backed blue cloth boards (rubbing to extremities, some soiling to covers). Note: contains notes of vestry meetings including discussions relating to Poor Relief, repairs to highways, the appointing of local wardens, overseers and constables. - And seven more related volumes (8).
