A rare Chinese Imari export porcelain 'Governor Duff' plate, Yongzheng period, finely painted and gilt in the Imari palette with a European couple walking their dog through a Chinese garden, within a border of precious objects, flowers and foliage, diameter 23.2cm (small repaired rim chip, faint hairline and minor rim fritting). Note: for a similar plate see David Sanctuary Howard's 'The Choice of the Private Trader', plate 37, page 62.
