RAILWAYS. - Nicholas WOOD. A Practical Treatise on Rail-Roads, and Interior Communication In General. London: Longman, Rees, Orme, Brown, and Green, 1832. Second edition, 8vo (223 x 128mm.) Folding lithographed frontispiece, 7 further folding plates, 1 folding chart to rear. (Browning, small stamp to title, occasional spotting to plates.) Later half-morocco, red morocco lettering piece to the spine (replaced endpapers, replaced front and rear blanks). Note: an early book about railways, Nicholas Wood presented the case for their usefulness, and noted the progress made since the publication of his first edition seven years earlier.
