RAILWAYS. - George HUGHES. The Construction of the Modern Locomotive. London: E. & F.N. Spon, 1894. First edition, 8vo (222 x 131mm.) Folding frontispiece, 2 folding plates, numerous illustrations. (Toning to margins, light occasional spotting.) Original maroon cloth, gilt lettering to spine and upper cover (bumped to extremities). - And twelve further volumes relating to railways and steam engines (including E.B. Ivatts's 'Railway Management at Stations', 1887, 8vo) (13).
