A Straits Chinese Peranakan or Baba-Nyonya famille rose enamelled porcelain ovoid ginger jar, 19th century, decorated with four yellow characters centred within blue, turquoise and pink roundels, reserved against a yellow ground filled with polychrome peonies and scrolling tendrils, height 19.5cm, with carved and pierced hardwood cover (cover damaged).
