A late 18th century ivory and silver mounted octagonal measuring instrument, possibly for map reading, each side incised with a European location and their relevant units, 'English Inches', 'Paris Inches', 'Roman Palm', 'Lucca Bracio' etc, each end fitted with a removable divider, length 17.4cm.
