A Chinese hardwood cased opium scale, mid-19th century, the fish shaped case with metal mounts, the swivel cover revealing a calibrated bone balance arm, brass pan and weight to interior, length 34.5cm, together with a Buddhist bamboo and palm leaf manuscript book, length 29.8cm.
