An early Victorian needlework sampler by 'Harriot Glaspool, her work in the 10th year of her age, MDCCC?', indistinctly dated with Roman numerals, the three verses of Psalm XCII above a central fruit tree, flanked by a deer, sheep, trees, butterflies and birds, all within a flowering vine border, finely worked in coloured silks, 41cm x 30cm, within a later gilt frame.
