INDIA. - Mortimer MENPES (illustrator) and Dorothy MENPES. The Durbar. London: Adam and Charles Black, 1903. Limited de luxe edition, this being number 74 of 1000 copies signed by the artist, 4to (258 x 194mm.) 100 colour plates by Mortimer Menpes, tissue-guards. (Spotting to the front-free endpaper and fore-edge, gift inscribed faintly on the front-free endpaper.) Original blue, red and gilt decorated cream cloth, t.e.g. (bumped to spine ends, soiling to lower cover). Note: commemorating the second Durbar that proclaimed Edward VII as king.
