A late 19th century boxwood and ebony Staunton chess set by Jaques, London, with weighted bases, the white king marked 'Jaques London' to the lower edge, the rooks and knights with red crown marks, height of kings excluding cross finial 7.5cm (both kings lacking finial and a few other minor chips), contained within the original mahogany box, the lid interior bearing maker's label, width of box 18.5cm.
