LANG, Andrew (introduction). - Charles LAMB. Beauty and the Beast. London: Field and Tuer, 1887. Small 4to (177 x 146mm.) 8 engraved plates, 2pp. publisher's advertisements to rear. (Moderate spotting, heavily on two leaves, gift inscription in crayon on front pastedown, lacking initial blank.) Original black cloth, gilt lettering to upper cover (rubbing to extremities, inner hinge weakening). Provenance: Herbert Grant Smith (bookplate verso of the frontispiece).
