POPE, Alexander. The Works… with his last Corrections, Improvements and Additions. London: C. Bathurst, W. Strahan, J. and F. Rivington et al., 1776. 6 vols., 8vo (174 x 98mm.) 24 engraved plates. (Browning, occasional spotting.) Contemporary calf, two red morocco lettering pieces to the spines (rebacked, rubbing to extremities). Provenance: Charles Ashfield Joy (inscribed to front pastedowns); George Ranking (bookplates to three front pastedowns). - And two further works by Alexander Pope ('The Odyssey of Homer', 2 vols., 1802, 8vo and 'The Iliad of Homer', 3 vols., 1802, 8vo) (11).
