AFRICA. - F. Sidney ENSOR. Incidents on a Journey Through Nubia to Darfoor. London: W.H. Allen & Co., 1881. First edition, 8vo (221 x 137mm.) 2 folding maps, 1p. 'Appendix' and 48pp. publisher's advertisements to rear. (Mild toning.) Original blue cloth, blind-stamped and gilt design to upper cover (rubbed and bumped to extremities, discolouring to margins, small crease to spine). Note: Ensor travelled from Cairo to the oasis at Darfour while surveying a route for a railway line. Provenance: A.R. Turner (bookplate to front pastedown).
