Engraved portraits to half-titles, list of subscribers, engraved vignettes within the text, engraved initial, 9pp. index to rear. (Browning to margins, minor soiling to pastedowns.) Near contemporary mottled calf, gilt lettering to spines (heavily rubbed to all covers and extremities). Provenance: J. Davison (ink name to second blank of both volumes); R. Gwyn Davies (ink name to second blank of volume 1). - And eighteen further literary volumes (including Cervantes 'History of Don Quixote of La Mancha', 5 vols., 1822, 8vo) (20).
