WORDSWORTH, Christopher. Greece: Pictorial, Descriptive and Historical. London: William S. Orr and Co., 1853. New edition, large 8vo (258 x 167mm.) Engraved frontispiece, tissue-guard, additional title with vignette, steel-engraved map of Greece, numerous plates and illustrations. (Toning, occasional spotting.) Near contemporary red morocco, triple gilt borders, brown morocco lettering piece to the spine, gilt turn-ins, g.e. (surface rubbing to spine, marks to upper cover). Provenance: W. Bowyer Smythe (inscribed to in ink verso of the f.f.e.p.). - And twenty-one volumes of literary and historical works (including John Ruskin's 'Modern Painters', 6 vols., 1898, 8vo) (22).
