MANUSCRIPT. - Edward LEAR. Incidents in the Life of My Uncle Arly. [N.p: circa 1980's.] 12 original water-colour paintings accompanied by Edward Lear's verses in printed text on 10 acetate sheets. (Disbound, lacking the last verse.) Acetate upper cover with hand-written lettering in black ink, a paper lower cover (marks to lower cover). - And a related volume (a reduced-sized printed 'dummy' copy of the book. Note: an unpublished manuscript by an uncredited artist. This was Edward Lear's last poem, completed in 1886, and it contains many autobiographical references and, in sending it out to various friends before his death, it represented a light-hearted obituary of himself (2).
