Third impression, signed by the authors Lucy Hawking and with the thumb-print of Stephen Hawking, 8vo (214 x 146mm.) Numerous photographic illustrations and uncoloured illustrations in the text by Garry Parson. (Toning to leaf margins.) Original pictorial card covers (small crease to lower cover). Note: the signings are on the title-page and read 'To Jo and Flo, Enjoy the Cosmic Adventure! Lucy Hawking'. Next to Stephen Hawking's thumb-print are the words 'This is the right hand thumb-print of S.W. Hawking, verified by Viv Riches, nurse on duty, 1-12-07.'
