ART DECO. - Christian ZERVOS (editor). Les Arts de la Maison. Paris: Albert Morancé, 1923-1926. 14 parts in 7 vols., 4to (272 x 224mm.) Comprising 239 loose plates after French art deco sketches, photographs and photogravures, many tinted and with pochoir hand-colouring, numerous text-leaves with illustrations. (Toning to plate margins, lacking 1 plate from volume III and 2 plates from volume IV, many text leaves uncut.) Original orange cloth portfolios, black lettering to upper covers and spines, black ties (some fading, rubbing to spine ends). Note: a scarce complete run of this bi-annual work containing art and designs by Raol Dufy, Frans Masereel, Le Corbusier, J.E. Ruhlmann, Maillol and Pierre Chareau. A compendium of French Art Deco design including interiors, furniture, fabric, glass-ware, porcelain, bookbinding (7).
