JOHNS, Captain W.E. Biggles in Africa. London: Oxford University Press, 1936. First edition, 8vo (186 x 118mm.) Colour frontispiece, 7 uncoloured plates by Howard Leigh and Alfred Sindall. (Spotting to fore-edge, frontispiece loosening, inkspots to rear pastedown.) Original brown pictorial cloth (rubbing to spine ends, fading). Provenance: Timothy Boulton (bookplate to the f.f.e.p.). - And twenty-eight further volumes of fiction (including R.M. Ballantyne's 'The Coral Island', 1913, 4to) (29).
