INDIA. - T. Holbein HENDLEY. Ulwar and Its Art Treasures. London: W. Griggs, 1888. Folio, (370 x 269mm.) Additional chromolithographed title, portrait and 78 numbered mostly chromolithographed plates, 2 double-page, numerous illustrations in text, some coloured. (Lacking two plates, some spotting to preliminaries, plate margins and to tissue-guards.) Original decorative cloth, t.e.g. (wear to spine ends, splitting to spine panel, rubbing to extremities, tape repair to upper hinge). Note: a pioneering study of Mughal art treasures based on the collection of the Maharaja of Uwer, Mangal Singh.
