MUSIC. - W. Henry, Arthur F., and Alfred E. HILL. Antonio Stradivari, His Life and Work. London: William E. Hill & Sons, 1902. First edition, 4to (292 x 206mm.) 31 plates, mostly in colour, captioned tissue-guards, numerous illustrations in the text. (Toning to margin.) Original vellum-backed green cloth with Stradivari coat-of-arms in red and gilt to upper cover, t.e.g. (soiling to lower cover). Note: W.E. Hill & Sons, established in 1762, are a preeminent firm of violin and bow makers, still operating today.
