Giza: The Survey of Egypt, 1949. 2 vols., folio (428 x 319mm.) 2 chromolithographed frontispieces, loosely inserted introduction leaf with preface dated 1954 (as issued), 243 photographic plates, including 26 in colour with tissue-guards, numerous in-text illustrations, 2 coloured multi-folding maps of Cairo and an index in rear pocket of volume 1. (Mild toning.) Original green blind-stamped morocco, gilt lettering to spines and upper covers (variant shade to volume 1 with rubbing to extremities and spine) (2).
