TIPPING, H. Avary. English Homes, Period I, II, III and IV. London and New York: Country Life, 1927-37. 6 vols., mixed editions, folio (387 x 262mm.) Numerous photographic illustrations. (Toning, browning to endpapers, occasional small corner crease.) Original blue cloth, gilt lettering to spine (bumped to spine ends, some fading), dust-jackets, mounted plate to upper panel of volume 1, Period II (some loss to all extremities, tears to margins and to spine of vol. 2 of Period I.) Note: Period I and II (volume 2) is the 1937 edition, Period II (volume 1) is the 1929 edition; Period III (volume 1) is the 1929 second impression and the Period III (volume 2) is the 1927 first edition; Period IV (volume 1) is the 1929 second impression, Period IV (volume 2) is the 1928 first edition (6).
