LEONICO, Tomeo Niccolò. De Varia Historia Libri Tres. Lyon: Sebastian Gryphius, 1555. 12mo (141 x 66mm.) Printer's device to title, italic type, guide-letters, 3 decorative initials, 31pp. index to rear. (Replaced blank leaves, toning.) Later green morocco covers, triple gilt borders, two red morocco lettering pieces to spine, g.e. (small insect damage to front pastedown and endpaper). Note: the author was the Aristotelian Professor of Philosophy in Padua who taught the young Copernicus and was highly praised by Erasmus.
