(Toning, title-page loose, small underlining to text.) Original black beaded cloth, gilt lettering to upper cover (rear cover loosened, some spine loss). Note: publisher's advertisements on endpapers and 'the right of translation is reserved' on the title-page. Provenance: Nurse Golding (gift inscribed to verso of front-free endpaper).
