[BEWICK, Thomas and John.] Emblems of Mortality; Representing, in Upwards of Fifty Cuts, Death Seizing all Ranks and Degrees of People. London: T. Hodgson, 1789. 12mo (54 x 92mm.) Woodcut frontispiece, 51 woodcuts in the text by Thomas and John Bewick. (Browning throughout, date on title trimmed and to several leaves, text unaffected.) Near contemporary calf (some surface loss to upper cover and to spine ends, rubbing). Provenance: J. Hill (ink name to front-free endpaper).
