POETRY. - Stephen SPENDER. Spiritual Exercises (To Cecil Day Lewis). London: privately printed, 1943. Limited edition, this number 73 of 125 signed copies, 4to (189 x 135mm.) (Some browning.) Original sewn decorated wrappers, the upper cover with mounted label with manuscript title by the author (browned to margins, splits to spine). Note: inscribed by Spender on the title-page 'To Mr and Mrs Clifford Norton, with best wishes for 1944, from Stephen Spender'. - And a quantity of poetical volumes (including Roy Campbell's 'Flowering Rifle', 1939, 8vo) (a quantity).
