THEATRE. - Noel COWARD. Present Laughter. London: William Heinemann, 1943. First edition, signed by Noel Coward and all the cast, 8vo (184 x 118mm.) (Mild toning.) Original purple cloth (lightly bumped), dust-jacket (chipping to spine ends, minor staining to upper panel). Note: contains the signature of Noel Coward, Joyce Carey and Judy Campbell on the initial blank and on the half-title Gerald Case, Beryl Measor, Molly Johnson, Billy Thatcher, James Donald, Dennis Price, Gwen Floyd and also that of the Peggie Dear, the stage manager. Provenance: Matthew Bell ('Matt'), props master, (signed to in ink). - And a further volume signed by Noel Coward and the whole cast ('This Happy Breed', 1943, 8vo) (2).
