BOSSCHÈRE, Jean de (illustrator). The Love Books of Ovid… translated out of the Latin by J. Lewis May. London: John Lane, Bodley Head Ltd., 1925. Limited edition, this being number 498 of 3000 copies, 4to (241 x 148mm.) 24 plates, some with tissue-guards. Original cloth, pictorial gilt to upper cover and spine (bumped to spine ends, stain to lower cover). - And a further five illustrated volumes (including Boccaccio's 'The Decameron', illustrated by Louis Chalon, 2 vols., 1903, 8vo) (6).
