First edition, 8vo (180 x 109mm.) Engraved portrait frontispiece of the Sultan Mahomet Han, pagination pp. 1-200, 1-128, 125-396. (Dedicatee's name- the 'Reader'- cut from leaf A6 and a line cut from leaf B1, trimming to lower margin of frontispiece, minor soiling, pencil name to rear blank, lacking a separately paginated continuation at end.) Contemporary calf, blind-tooled corner fleurons (rubbing to extremities, minor insect damage to lower cover). Note: p. 396 with 'Finis', Bb8. Provenance: Thomas Neale (ink name to title-page). [Atabey 1078].
