ROME. - Antonio NIBBY. Raccolta de Monument Piu' Celebri di Roma Antica. Rome: Antoino Poggioli, 1818. First edition, 4to (274 x 201mm.) 39 engraved plates, dual column text in French and Italian. (Browning, spotting to margins, lacking plate no. 22.) Near contemporary red half morocco over buckram boards (rubbing to extremities, surface loss). Provenance: John Peter Worthington (name inscribed to title-page). - And two further illustrated volumes (including 'Tombleson's Views of the Rhine', 1832, 8vo) (3).
