ETCHING. - Williams and NORGATE (publisher). The Etcher… Examples of the Original Etched Work of Modern Artists. London: Williams and Norgate, 1879-80. Vol. 1 and 2 (only) in 1 vol. Folio (376 x 266mm.) 54 engraved etchings on 53 leaves by artist including C.P Slocombe, W.H. Urwick, W.J. Cooper, J.M. Youngman and Birket Foster with 'The Etcher Notes' for Jan-Dec 1880 to rear. (Browning, light to moderate spotting to plates, loose leaves.) Original red half morocco over marbled paper covered boards (worn). Note: five volumes of this work were eventually published.
