TOLKIEN, J.R.R. The Lord of the Rings. London: George Allen and Unwin, 1963. 3 vols., mixed impressions, 8vo (222 x 138mm.) 3 folding maps. (Mild toning, name inscribed to front-free endpaper of 'The Fellowship of the Ring'.) Original cloth (some damp-spotting to covers of 'The Return of the King', occasional marks to 'The Two Towers'), dust-jackets ('Return of the King' and 'The Two Towers' are price-clipped, browning to spine and margins). Note: 'The Fellowship of the Ring' is the 13th impression, both 'The Two Towers' and 'The Return of the King' are 10th impressions (3).
