CERVANTES SAAVEDRA, de Miguel. The Life and Exploits of the Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote de la Mancha, translated from the Original Spanish… by Charles Jarvis. London: William Miller, 1810. 4 vols., 8vo (208 x 122mm.) Engraved portrait frontispiece of the author, folding map of Spain with contemporary hand-colouring, 19 engraved plates. (Browning, occasional spotting and corner crease, front and rear blanks replaced.) Later brown half calf over marble paper-covered boards, gilt lettering to spines with floral vignettes (endpapers replaced, rubbing to extremities). Provenance: John Sale (ink name to title of volume 3) (4).
