Frontispiece, 11 hand-coloured plates with tissue-guards, numerous wood engravings in the text. (Mild toning.) Original red cloth, pictorial gilt to covers (heavily rubbed extremities, wear to spine, tape repair to top of spine). - And a further two related volumes (including 'The Floral World and Garden Guide' edited by Shirley Hibberd, 1871, 8vo) (3).
