ARCHAEOLOGY. - Robert S. LAMON and Geoffrey M. SHIPTON and Gordon LOUD. Megiddo. Illinois: University of Chicago Press, 1939-1948. 3 vols., 4to (298 x 226mm.) Numerous illustrations and folding plans. (Toning, light spotting verso the plans.) Original brown cloth-backed tan cloth-covered boards, gilt lettering to spines (rubbing to extremities). Provenance: Richard Parker, diplomat and scholar (name inscribed to front-free endpaper). - And a further three volumes relating to the Megiddo archaeological excavations (including Herbert Gordon May's 'Material Remains of the Megiddo Cult', 1935, 4to) (6).
